Granite Crushing&Screening Plant in South Africa

On July 21 of 2011, we received deposit from Alpha Sand Company. They ordered a complete granite crushing and screening plant, including:

• 3.Grizzly Vibrating Feeder: GZD960x3800/1 set

• 4.European type Jaw Crusher: PEW860/1 set

• 5.Multi-cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher: HPC220/1 set

• 6.Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher: VSI5X9532/1 set

• 7.Vibrating Screen: 3YZS2160/1 set

• 8.Vibrating Screen: 2YZS1860/3 sets

• 9.Belt Conveyors: 345meters Long

Their project is located in Polokwane. This is their biggest project to date at Alpha Sand.

Here is simple introduction about the flow chart:

• The tip wall is 8m high when completed. Wall is made of "Lego style blocks" and is anchored into the backfill with geo-grid to keep it from falling over.

• The primary crusher will discharge onto the surge pile from where a pan-feeder will feed the plant with up to 220t/h. 

• Over-sized material from the surge pile is separated with a triple deck screen and sent to a hydraulic cone crusher. This screen also removes -8mm fines so that it is not fed into the VSI. 

• The VSI is used to shape the aggregate into cubic. Shaped aggregates has a more cubical shape, uses less cement for same strength concrete and is also a must for road-stone. The conveyor, fitted with wheels and centre pivot gearboxes, normally used to return oversize material back to the VSI, can simply move away out of the circuit to form its own stockpile when the VSI is bypassed. 

• There are two 6m shipping containers stacked onto each other at site, the bottom one have all the electrical switch gear and the top one are soundproofed and windows fitted to be used as the control room.

• With VSI in operation they can produce 7 products simultaneously of which 6 products are shaped. With the VSI bypassed they can produce 8 unshaped products simultaneously.

• We loaded and shipped the goods into 1x40'FR+1x20'FR+1x20'OT+8x40'HQ from Qingdao to Durban.
